Promotion strategy promoted by the Ministry of Tourism“Ecuador Love Life” is the slogan with which the country is promoted, these days, in the Southern Cone (Chile and Argentina), with major tour operators and major companies in these countries. This promotion strategy promoted by the Ministry of Tourism responds to the significant growth recorded in recent years the markets of Argentina and Chile, and the decision of the Secretary of State to strengthen the promotion and dissemination of destination in Southern Ecuador South. For this purpose the Minturn held from 1 to 3 August a road show in the cities of Santiago de Chile (Chile) and Buenos Aires (Argentina), respectively.

The main objectives of the events are to present and promote the marketing of tourism products in Ecuador, as well as train tour operators and travel agents in selling overseas destination Ecuador. This time the delegation, headed by the Ministry of Tourism, is comprised of eleven exhibitors, including tour operators, hotel chains and airlines, which will have the opportunity to meet with major operators and travel agents, Chile and Argentina. Business conferences, gastronomic, cultural and delivering promotional materials from Ecuador, are part of the activities taking place during the road shows.

According to the Tourism Marketing Plan 2010-2014, the products marketed in the Chilean market are: ecotourism and nature tourism, sports and adventure consolidation product: sun and sand, meetings, incentives, conferences and events-RICE- , cruise and cultural tourism, while for the Argentinean market the Plan defines the marketing of products such as ecotourism and nature tourism, cultural tourism and the sun and sand consolidation, RICE, cruises and cultural tourism. Importantly, growth in tourist arrivals from Ecuador to Chile and Argentina is reflected in increasing air connectivity.
